HOT SPOT #1

I am so excited to share with you guys about my 1st HOT SPOT! I visited Onix, located at 412 South Main St.  I got there around 6:45, just in time for the 3-for-1 drink special.....oooowweeeeeee! The place was jumping.  There where 2 birthday parties going on, the band was setting up, and of course me and my crew got our usual front set table.  The waitress put our order in and we got all 6 rounds within 10 minutes.  What did we drink you may ask...cranberry and vodka....apple martinis...peach martinis...ocean sunrise...margaritas...amaretto sour....so that comes out to ummmmm x3....carry the 1.....36 drinks! OOOwwweeeeeeeee! I also had the shrimp Alfredo and it was banging as usual. So how much was my bill? Well, I was BallingOutaControl so it was about $76.  Not bad for 36 drinks and a meal.

Oh, now let me tell you about the Band.  They name of the group is "The Fyrm".  The Keyboard player, in his interview made sure to tell me they spell it with a "y". "Technical difficulties" as he says.  They have been playing together for about 4 years.  They are banging y'all; 2 keys, lead guitar, bass, drums, and vocalist! They are mostly related with a few friends that seemed to fit right in to give them the right blend for their R&B/ Soulful Sound.  They are at Onix every Thursday 7-10.  Make sure you go check them out...they are well worth the Free Cover!

Midway threw the night I was feeling too good.  Then they start playing my song..."Sweet Thang" by Chaka! Since Jamiela knows I love this song (and low key she can't hit the high note) she always lets me sing the break.  And I tore it up! I had the crowd jumping! They also let me dance with her when they played "Lollipop" by Wayne.  This is becoming a tradition haha! But by the end of the night I had so much fun I had to turn my keys over to my home girl youknowwhatimsaying!

So overall, I love hanging out at Onix on a Thursday evening.  There is No Cover, 3-for-1 drink 4-7, great food, awesome music, all within an intimate atmosphere.  What more could you ask for. Pictures and interview with "The Fyrm" coming soon.
